Newferry to Portglenone.

Paddling from Newferry, right away you will feel far from anywhere, enjoying a few twists n turns on the lower Bann. This paddle always feels like a meander in the country side. You can catch glimpses of bird life frequently maybe non more spectacular than the kingfishers. I always find paddling inland waterways its the conversations or the silence. Which ever pleases you most that really soaks into the soul.

A wonderful adventure for all ages.

Portglenone to Portna.

This beautiful stretch of the lower Bann, starting at Portglenone Leaves the village quickly moving past the marina moving into the countryside and the paddling is on. It takes a no time at all to fall in love with the isolation knowing that really, your not to far from humanity if you start to miss it. When you get to Portna its a genuinely lovely paddle into the canal system before arriving at the loch gate where we leave the rivers presence. Till next time.

Equally great for kids and adults.

Toome canal into Lough Neagh returning to Toome.

Depending on the time and season this is a great paddle to view the small inner bays of this location in Lough Neagh. There are Islands nearby. Due to the Loughs size it is completely possible to get a few miles in over deep water or glide at whatever your pace is around the Islands.

A fantastic getaway for all people of all ages.

Toome canal to Newferry via Lough Beg.

Personally I enjoy the Toome canal because when the weather threatens your day, this is a great spot to be. Mostly though it is a beautiful area which feels secluded on your way into into Lough Beg as you move off toward Church Island. This location featured in the filming of the popular tv series game of thrones. We entre the water via the boat slip or pontoons. Set of down river passing the eel fishery keeping right to make for the entrance of Lough Beg. Once under the blue bridge we work a few corners then begin entering Lough Beg, we paddle for Church Island – stop to eat – Then move off toward the entrance to the lower Bann at Newferry, where we leave the river. Till next time.

Game of Throne Fans will love this!
